Dear Parents, Alumni/ae and Friends of Spellman,
These are exciting times here at Cardinal Spellman High School. This year has already seen the dedication of our refurbished Athletic Fields, the launching of a brand new website and the use of our facilities as a set for an upcoming motion picture. Our enrollment continues to grow and our students continue
to flourish and succeed.
Now we face the challenge and opportunities presented by the decision of the Archdiocese of New York to make our school and the others that presently make up the Catholic High Schools Association, independent entities. We will still be very much part of the Archdiocese under our Cardinal Archbishop but
a Board of Directors is to be formed in each school and those Boards will maintain control of and responsibility for, their schools' day to day operations,
with finance a particular concern.
This all provides us with a wonderful opportunity not only to achieve our expectations but to exceed them. As we begin the celebration of our Golden
Jubilee, we not only look back at our first 50 years with tremendous pride, but we also look ahead with joyful anticipation of all that is yet to come.
